Environmental Philosophy

In our increasingly consumer oriented society, it is easy for us to forget that the earth and its natural resources, the result of millions of years of evolution, are given to us to look after for future generations, and not for our sole consumption and as a recepticle for our waste.

For the first time in history, the scale and nature of modern industry and technology has given us the power to affect the basic functioning of the planet (our life support system) in profound and irreversible ways.

Putting our trust in the development of technology to find a solution, and by doing so gambling with the future evolution of the human race and the natural world about us is an extremely risky endeavor with potentially disastrous consequences.

We need new ways of viewing our relationship with the natural world, to meet the needs of the present without compromising future generations, a shift in consciousness aswell as environmentally friendly technology.

With these principles in mind, we welcome projects from environmental organisataions, environmentally friendly businesses, alternative energy providers and researchers.

We remain committed to the sponsorship of environmental research and protection through our service donations wherever possible, and the exploration of these issues in our creative work.
